I have rheumatoid arthritis that has made it so hard to brush my hair for 5 years that I rarely even do it. While I went through a process of having dreads in my hair I realized that boar bristle brushes work the best in general. This wide handle gives the perfect balance for me to actually enjoy brushing my hair again, let alone the fact that it no longer hurts me. These bristles are the perfect stiffness and perfectly spaced to get through any kind of hair with the right gentleness and effectiveness. It bounce and shine and smooths all at the same time! When I need another one in the future, which I don't see happening soon because this looks like very high quality, I will be returning for this brush. I will also be recommending it to those with arthritis or thinning hair. My boyfriend is obsessed with it now as well since he never did learn to brush his hair properly as a male yet decided to grow his hair very long as an adult.
