I need a communications hub for another system that actually has several Rs485 devices.** A: I bought another charge controller but a different brand and it would not work with it. **Q: So this is actually not used for just multiple battery montitoring say like 4 of the 48V x 50Ah batteries?** A: I doubt it. But, if you have a Renogy controller that supports the 48 volt it should work.
