Review: Not the sturdiest, but you can't beat the price. - I was a bit hesitant to buy at first because of the bad reviews, but I was having huge issues finding a pure black ladder shelf that fit my budget, so I decided to give it a shot. I'm really glad I did! I bought two to place on either side of the TV for all of my knick knacks and plants. Both packages for either shelf arrived perfectly in-tact with no pieces broken or missing. I read these were pretty hard to assemble, but I had no issues. If you just make sure to read and double check the instructions, you won't have a problem. I also laid out all the pieces the way they were supposed to be attached before I got started screwing in pieces. After assembly, they are not the sturdiest things in the world. When I moved them from my place of assembly to the TV area, I accidentally hit the ceiling and it slightly chipped the top corner of the shelf. It was my bad, but that just goes to show how delicate these things are. I would not recommend putting these in a high traffic area, because one accidental bump and they could get seriously damaged. Luckily, we don't walk up to the TV that often so I don't think there will be an issue. Overall I am really happy with the purchase, and really like how they look in the living room. If you are on a budget and want a nice ladder shelf to display your things in a tucked away area, I recommend these shelves!
Review: I am so beyond impressed - I promise this review is worth reading. I’ve had this shelf for a year or so, and if you’re wondering why I’m rating it 5 stars even though it’s totally bent - that’s what makes it impressive. We didn’t put any pads on the bottom of the legs and didn’t do anything to keep it attached to the wall. It’s just balancing on the wall. We have one of these on both sides of out TV, and the one in the picture we obviously had to skip out of the bottom shelves so we could fit our things under the shelves. We have three cats and a dog, and to run from the back of the house to the front, you have to do like a side step if you’re coming into the living room from the hallway or else you’ll just run into the shelf and wall. Well, when the dog and cats have the zoomies, they have to drift that corner - and they don’t drift very well every time. This bent leg on this shelf, that’s SOLELY being supported by sheer balance, has been smacked full speed by a dog or a cat darting straight into it. We always bend it back into place, but I couldn’t NOT leave a review on this. I can’t believe this thing hasn’t slipped or moved at all considering it’s just balanced and getting cats and dogs constantly darting into it. It baffles my boyfriend and I every single time we see one of them hit it and nothing moves but the leg. Like I said, it’s been a year (i think longer) and it’s still holding strong. This is the most impressive thing I’ve seen.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there a installation manual? My package arrived without one**
A: A folded instruction sheet. Check YouTube sometimes people assemble there. It's pretty easy. I'm a senior lady and I did it.

**Q: Would this shelf work if placed on top of a carpet?**
A: Yes very well, I love mine.

**Q: does the bottom of this have stoppers ? will it slide and fall if i place it on hardwood ?**
A: No stoppers on bottom. Just wood. After u place items on it, its heavy so bottom does not slide on my wood floors. But if i bump into it the top slides. If u have kids y can anchor it to wall up top.

**Q: How tall is the space between shelves? is this sturdy enough to act as a lego display case? (think the kid version hogwarts castle, a space shuttle)**
A: The unit I have we use for just that reason . The shelves measure 13 inches between each shelf and my grandson has it loaded up with all his LEGO projects and as yet have not found any too large. Very pleased with the shelf unit . We have two and find them very sturdy.
I recommend them highly.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth it!
*by Z***N on 18 February 2023*

Was debating based on the reviews.. but I said whatever and got it cause it is reasonably priced & exactly what I was looking for. Honestly super glad did. This product adds STYLE & really makes any space look excellent. It came super fast and was exactly as described. I get compliments from everyone! Only downside I have is the time it took to build. It’s not necessarily hard to build at all, it’s mostly common sense. It’s just time consuming and you really gotta pay attention to what goes where. Plan it out & take your time or you will have to redo things. Little tip: use a drill if you have one to drill the screws in, using a screwdriver will work, but that just makes everything take forever.. All in all, such a great piece all around & worth the time it takes to build! Also totally sturdy enough as I won’t be using it as an actual ladder to climb on. 5 stars from me. Get this if you’re debating!
