Review: I'm glad I chose Z5 - Why I chose Z5 If you're upgrading from an entry-level DSLR camera and like me, you're focused on image quality because you like shooting portraits/ppl, landscapes and street, this is THE camera to choose. It's because, nothing more than what Z5 offers is needed and money can be saved for LENSES. There are other cameras (mainly from Canon and Sony) that can be considered but for me, nothing beats Nikon colors, so I chose Z5. It came with 0 damage and works fine. Low light I'm happy with the photos I've taken so far, even in low light, where image stabilization can let you shoot at even 1/9 shutter speed (while hand held) and if you're hands are steady there's no shake blur. Z5 handles high ISO just fine, and you won't even need ISO that's too high 40% of the time, unless the lighting is terrible and boring anyway. Two slots for SD cards can be lifesaving for commissioned photography, as you know the cards can be damaged and photos - lost. You can't afford that. I must say, however, when I insert the 2nd SD card, the light that indicates processing turns on for ab. half a minute, so you can't take pictures before it's gone. I hope it's temporary or it's the card itself to blame. I'll update this if the issue gets resolved. I haven't taken the camera in the rainy day yet, but it's weather sealed and I expect that all is fine. Ergonomically, Z5 is very comfortable - you have all the buttons and dials placed intuitively and you have customizable buttons - you can choose what they do. FYI: The sensor is similar to the one in D750 but Z5 is still better due to a newer processor. If you're into Nikon system, new Nikon Z line is already the present and obviously the future and the next thing to focus on is this - going for a more expensive bodies won't make you a better photographer, that choice should be made out of necessity, like if you're into vlogging you'll need a fully articulated screen (Z5 rotates on only horizontal axis, so that's up and down), and so on. Otherwise Z5 is excellent. Match this body with cool lenses and do your best in practice. Good luck!
Review: Fantastic Mirrorless Camera for Enthusiasts! - I've been using the Nikon Z5 for a few months now, and it's exceeded my expectations in every way. The image quality is outstanding, especially in low light conditions. The autofocus is lightning fast and accurate, making it a breeze to capture those spontaneous moments. The in-body stabilization is a game-changer, giving me sharp shots even with slower shutter speeds. The ergonomic design feels comfortable in my hands, and the intuitive touchscreen interface makes navigation a breeze. I love the EVF - it's clear, bright, and provides an accurate preview of the final shot. The Z5's battery life has also been impressive, lasting through a full day of shooting without needing a recharge. Switching from my old DSLR was seamless, thanks to the included FTZ adapter that allowed me to use my existing F-mount lenses. The Z5's compact size and lightweight build make it a great travel companion, without compromising on performance. Overall, the Nikon Z5 is a fantastic mirrorless camera that strikes the perfect balance between affordability and high-end features. Whether you're a beginner looking to step up your photography game or a seasoned enthusiast, this camera won't disappoint. Highly recommended!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this fit an AF-S lense?**
A: You can buy a Nikon Mount Adapter FTZ. On a Z camera with the Mount Adapter FTZ, compatible F-Mount NIKKOR lenses retain all of their sharpness and superb rendering power. Plus, they gain so much—smooth, fast Hybrid-AF*, silent shooting, breakthrough low-light performance, the benefits of the camera's built-in VR image stabilization and more. *Full AF/AE supported when using FX or DX AF-S Type G/D/E, AF-P type G/E, AF-I type D and AF-S/AF-I Teleconverters.

**Q: Does the "body only" model come with battery, charger, case or lanyard?**
A: Yes. You will get the camera body, battery, charger, lanyard, and manual.

**Q: What's the warranty like if bought outside us of a? international?**
A: Just a guess no warranty

**Q: How smooth is the manual focus ring. Last few autofocus nikon lenses I've owned are all really loose and sloppy.**
A: If you have cheaper Z mount lenses, manual focusing is not particularly great. Lenses are made primarily for autofocusing. The larger S lenses should be better. I've ordered 105mm S macro and would expect manual focusing to be excellent.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Nikon Mirrorless For All of Us
*by J***O on October 28, 2020*

Here's the bottom line on this model. It is the same Nikon quality you know, love, and expect at a much more attainable price point. It has dual SD UHS-II card slots, and uses the newest variation of the EN-EL15 battery from Nikon (EN-EL15c). I refuse to call it "entry-level." So if you have been on the fence about Nikon mirrorless because of the single XQD card slot in the Z6 or Z7, this is a great way to dip your toe in the mirrorless water and even dive in if you want. SD cards are ubiquitous and inexpensive. It has been flawless with the FTZ adapter and my F mount lenses. It does uncropped 1080p HD video, and can do cropped 4K video. I don't do much video at all, so I don't mind. 1080p is enough for me right now anyway. I am not a pro (maybe someday...). I do wish it had a little faster frames per second for stills. 4.5 is ok, but not great. I liked the Z5 so much, I sold off my F bodies and bought a second Z5! Now I have two of these for the day I go pro as a wedding photographer! You always need a backup. There's a lot of reviewers on the 'Tube who have been talking down to Nikon for its mirrorless efforts, but the fact of the matter is, Nikon is doing a great job in its first generation of full frame mirrorless. The Z5 (for me), Z6II, and Z7II (both unreleased at the time of this review), have everything we need. There's no reason to jump ship to another brand now. IBIS and Eye autofocus are all onboard the Nikon mirrorless cameras. Don't get caught up in the reviews (especially outdated ones) that make it seem like everyone buying cameras is a professional wedding photographer who needs 4k video 100% of the time in one hand while photographing birds, wildlife, and sports at 20fps in the other hand, all at the same time. If that's not you, do you care if you have one card slot, or can't record in uncropped 4k? All we need is a little perspective. Find the right camera for you and go have fun.
