Made well and are perfect for clamping wood. However, if Youre sawing wood then you need to use a "Bench clamp" or vice. clamps of this type are meant for holding wood together whilst gluing etc! The wood may slip if you don't use the correct method of holding it. Much as these clamps are great, they're just not for the job you're looking to do. I suggest you type in "Black and decker workmate" & this will be just what you need.
