The description states that they are not and to ignore comments, but all have been unopened from the original packaging and are full of butane. I have only opened and used one so far and it seems to work as expected. If I run into any problems refilling and such or problems with the other 5 I will update this review. Update. I have added a picture and have taken all 6 out of the package and verified they all do work.

Excellent. It lights, no stupid release button to fumble with before it lights. Easy trigger pull. The flame is about 1" to 1 1/4", so just right. Because these do not have that annoying and hard to use safety lock that prevents it from being fired, do exercise caution and do not store these where children have access. Very good product.
