It cuts through the soil brilliantly, and I can now dig a perfectly sized planting hole in under five minutes. It's solidly built, feels very robust and is excellent value for money.Even my wife (who's the actual gardener) was sceptical when I ordered it, but she's been thoroughly impressed after seeing how well it works.Instead of spending a week of evenings battling rubbish soil with a shovel, we're now on track to get the whole garden planted in a single day. It takes a little practice and you need a "nack" to get it working but when you do it works a dream and far less than a powered version. We have used it to put in gate posts and fence posts.
