This book contains the most common words with example sentences. I have one issue: A lot of the example sentences are too complicated, especially at the beginning. As a result, this serves as a nice frequency dictionary with examples, but it is not so handy if you decide, eg, that you want to work on the twenty most common words: If you're just beginning, you will have nothing like the knowledge required to read the examples.
