This would not be considered a dishwasher safe finish as it is water resistant, not waterproof, and the harsh chemicals can actually dissolve the cured finish after time. Wash with mild, natural soap and warm water. **Q: Can you apply indoors? Looking for a protective finish for our wood table. Will need to apply it indoors & there are kids at home. Any toxic smell?** A: This stuff is none-toxic, zero VOC's, 100% food safe, and no heavy metal driers. It smells like a cooking oil and is a simple to use.
