Good coffee...
I really like the Paula Deen Percolator. The pot is very stylish and I leave it on the stove and get plenty oohs and aahs from the neighbors. As mentioned in previous reviews, the handle gets hot. This is true. However, I use a pot holder to handle the pot.The pot makes a good pot of coffee. One recommendation is to not overload the strainer with coffee grinds. A few grinds will get into your cup, but the flavour of the coffee is good and rich. Just what I "need" in a cup of java. The percolator gives coffee a different flavour from automatic drip machines. So do know the differences before you purchase a Paula Deen percolator. All Coffee drinkers have their preference and this one is satisfied with her purchase.

Great little Pot
For me the size is perfect. It's a sturdy pot that makes a great cup of coffee. I really don't know what all of the other people want from this pot. Sure , the handle gets hot. Look at how it's made. Some say the basket and stem are light weight and delicate. Well whats it suppose to be, industrial grade? It's a stove top percolator that works. I use a filter in the basket and the coffee is even better. My wife picked the color(orange) and it looks great in the kitchen. My only problem is that you can't find a good stove top percolator in the stores. You have to go online.

Percolator
I like the color and look. It has been a sturdy product, and brews up a good pot of coffee. I really like Paula Deens products. Only complaint is it doesn't brew 8 cups of coffee, more like 6 mugs worth. Also, I thought I was getting two mugs with the percolator and there weren't any included. When I ordered online it says, percolator included with 2 mugs. The box it came in mentioned nothing about 2 mugs.....hmmmm.

Coffee Lover
I am very happy with this percolator. The one and two star reviews that complain about overflowing water, grounds in the coffee, etc., are clearly not familiar with using percolators. You have to follow the instructions as to how much water to use, you have to use the right type of ground coffee, and you have to know when to turn the heat down (it's easy, just listen for the sound of the coffee "percolating"). If you do that, you will get delicious, flavorful coffee that only comes from percolators. This is a great product. I only wish it were larger and made more coffee. I use mine every morning and have never had better coffee. Excellent product.

Paula Deen Percolator
Well I bought this because I love the color, it matches my PD cookware set perfectly :) It is really cute in person so I am not disappointed with that aspect of the machine. I needed an alternative way of making coffee and since I used my father in laws percolator in 2009 I feel in love with it! I used it the same way I used his (it was not PD and it had a glass top) but the results were not the same at all. I did not have problems with getting grinds in my coffee because I did wet the basket before putting the grinds in there BUT it takes so freaking long for this thing to get the coffee strong enough to drink. I thought perhaps I was not putting enough grinds but trust me that was not the case! If you like a stronger brew like myself, you have to wait at least 30-35 mins and make sure to add enough water so it does not evaporate and leave you disappointed for a cup of Joe. Since I only make coffee for myself I usually do not make more than 2 cups but I have to add 4 cups worth of water and about 5-7 tbsp of coffee grind to get a nice strong brew for about 30-35 min. If anyone has been able to cut the time down and still get a good brew feel free to share your secrets :)

I was so disappointed in this purchase
I was so disappointed in this purchase. I loved the look of this percolator with its beautiful color but it arrived with the finish extremely chipped off the base of one side. There were no exchanges available at the time so I returned it. When I tried to buy it again I saw the price had increased by $10 since I had ordered it a couple of days earlier. I bought something else.

Disappointed
Mainly bought this for boiling water, but since it is also a percolator coffee pot, Bonus! Well, received it with the top chipped and not as user friendly as expected. Base is to small to turn gas burner above medium to avoid the flames burning up the sides. Handle is to small to fit average size hand inside it, let alone with a hot pad on your hand (it is metal). Percolator works fine, makes good coffee. Paula Deen Signature Enamel on Steel Collection 8 Cup Stovetop Percola

Good Old Fashion Coffee Pot
Percolated coffee is still the best, and this pot does the job well. You can brew the coffee just as you like it. Try doing that with some other high priced "coffee machine". I love the fact that there isn't a clear plastic bulb on the top to see the coffee percolating because that's what broke on my last coffee pot. The filter may be light tin, or aluminum and may seem a little flimsy, but as long and you hand wash it, and don't mistreat it, I'm sure it will last a lifetime.
