I use this mic mostly to talk to friends on Skype when we are gaming and from they have said, the static that used to come from using my previous mic has been greatly reduced. Basically, this mic does exactly what I want and my voice comes through crisp and clear. Do note, however, you may need to purchase an audio-and-mic splitter cable if you wish to use this with your computer. That said, this mic works really well by itself on smartphones. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Mic was much worse than expected *by P***G on Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2016* I was hopeful that this mic would work out, but I was wrong. While it did pick up some sound, I literally had to yell to get much out of it. Even the standard iphone mic was infinitely better than this. I figured it could have been a mic volume issue, but to no avail. I tired this mic in several different devices - all with the gain maxed out and all had the same result. It does not work with my Sennheiser wireless receiver. Upon closer inspection, this lavalier has 3 visible rings on it. My Sennheiser lavalier that I was trying to replace had 2 rings. The product description needs to be a little more verbose about what is and isn't expected to work for this microphone.
