Don’t use if you're under 18, over 65, pregnant, breastfeeding, or on tattoos or permanent makeup. Always read the manual before starting treatment. **Q: Is Lumea safe? Does it hurt?** A: Lumea is safe and gentle when used as directed. Developed with dermatologists, Lumea fulfills all safety regulations for home use. If treatments feels uncomfortable, lower the light intensity or stop. Check the manual to ensure IPL suits your skin. **Q: Are results with Lumea IPL permanent?** A: Like all light-based hair removal methods, IPL and laser do not provide permanent results. However, with regular use and following the recommended schedule, Lumea can give you smooth skin and long-lasting hair reduction for months. **Q: Do I need to shave before using Lumea?** A: You need to remove hair before every treatment. You can either shave, epilate or wax. Make sure to start the treatment before new hair is visible on your skin. If you choose to wax, wait 24 hours before you use Lumea. **Q: What is the difference Lumea IPL vs. laser?** A: Gentle treatment with Lumea is an alternative to laser, but unlike salon hair removal, you pay only once for Lumea and can touch up any time at home. Both are effective methods for long lasting hair removal. ## Frequently Bought Together - Philips Lumea Series 8000, IPL Hair Removal Device, with SenseIQ Technology, 4 Attachments for Body, Face, Bikini and Underarms, Satin Compact Pen Trimmer, Model BRI949/00 - SafeLightPro F5 Special Eye Protection Against Light impulses (Flashes) emitted by HPL and IPL Hair Removal Devices, Eye Protection Goggles-Safety Glasses, UV Protection - Anagel Cosmetic IPL/Laser Gel (250ml) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/218259729-philips-lumea-8000-series-ipl-hair-removal-device-laser-hair](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/218259729-philips-lumea-8000-series-ipl-hair-removal-device-laser-hair) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
