It looks more like a medium grain to me - certainly not short grain rice. It would most likely work just fine in recipes that call for long grain rice, but the appearance would be slightly different. **Q: What does one do with "sprouted brown rice"? Do you cook it the same or how is it different other than nutritionally superior for digestion?** A: I cook it the same way as regular rice, but if in doubt, the cooking instructions are on the bag. Sprouting foods, among other advantages, make their nutritional components more easily digested and therefor,more nutritious. **Q: Is this long grain brown rice?** A: Yes it is but sprouted and gluten free !
