A: The lacquer coating is on the outside to keep the bottle from staining. The inside doesn’t have any lacquer coating. However, it does form greenish coating. To remove that, squeeze a lemon in the bottle, and pour hot water upto the brim. Let it stay for an hour or so. Rinse off and see the difference.
