With that being said, can you find a better tasting one? Sure! However, I challenge you to find a better tasting bar WITHOUT sucralose. Over the last 15+ years, the food industry has forced sucralose down our throats and with sucralose being 600 times sweeter than sugar, we're used to things being sweet, therefore, taste better.I've reached the point in my diet where I am more concerned with nutrient value over taste because let's face it, most whole foods are bland. I want protein, taste is secondary in priority. Good thing is, this bar does have sweetner, a natural sweetner known as stevia. Plus it has a touch of sweetness with sugar as well. Let's face it, sugar in moderation is not bad and this one has moderate levels.Stevia is from a plant, sucralose (splenda) is chemically produced.Sucralose: it's gotten to the point where the American Dietetics Association hasn't taken a stance on sucralose because more and more tests are finding just how unsafe this sweetner is (I have a few friends that work in the Office of the Surgeon General as Dietititans). They haven't taken a stance because the FDA still lists it as an approved general food sweetner, but the ADA is not endorsing it.Anyways, I avoid sucralose. You'll find most of the quest bars have sucralose, hence the better taste.
