It's easy to put up (once you get your bearings) and the pieces just click together - it's harder to breakdown though. What would've made this perfect it some kind of door as we only let our dogs use this during the day, so to keep out unwanted guests the ability to close it off would be nice; but we'll just improvise. It’s for an XL BULLY so I’m getting a large** A: Yes, it has rained a few times since I have been using it. Pushed the bedding back away from doorway a bit, but otherwise fine inside. **Q: How big is the door opening please. I am looking to obtain a door of some sort?** A: The door opening is 10 inches wide and 19 inches high at highest point. It does have a slight curve at the top, as you can see in the picture. **Q: Would it withstand a windy area wit some shelter?** A: Hi I would say so due to the way it clips in it should do, I ordered off amazon due to free returns, I would say do the same.
