I have never really tried any of this stuff. I just grew my beard out and trimmed it down when I felt it getting out of hand. I decided to treat myself for my birthday this year and started to shop for beard care kits. This one came highly recommended by several review sites. The kit comes in a high-quality cigar box, manly. I tried the Beard Oil as soon as I get it open, and I have never felt so much comfort on my face while having a beard, ever. The Beard Balm and Moustache Wax are also both high quality as well. Shaping my stache and beard was so easy, and it feels great and smells great. The soap is an extra that most other kits do not include. The Beard Shampoo is heaven for your face. Best of all, it's all-natural! Oh, and did I mention everything smells manly and amazing? The comb is really nice as well, seems very high quality, and comes in a leather(real or fake, don't really know) pouch. I recommend getting a brush as a companion to the comb. I will be buying my beard care products from Maison Lambert from now on. Everything else I am very pleased with. Scents of oil and balm are great and not intrusive to the senses throughout the day. Brush that's included is high quality and works very well. Oil and balm don't make my beard look greasy but does give it a slight shine. I have 50% gray to color in my beard so may be different for someone without greying. Box is a nice additive to the collection to store all my items in the cabinet. Face soap smells nice and definitely gives a clean feel after use. Plus side is the natural ingredients that make me feel like I'm not destroying the hairs in my beard or being counter productive to the growth cycle.
