It replaced a smaller LapGear desk that I’ve had for 5 years. I wanted a spot to rest my phone next to the computer, and with this desk, I can use the cutout or the rubberized mouse pad to hold the phone without it slipping off. I don’t use a mouse with my laptop, but the space on this desk intended for that purpose is ideal. The carbon fiber look surface is very nice and looks high-end. The two bolster pillows underneath are much better than my previous, smaller desk that had just one bean-filled pillow. The two separate pillows that run horizontally across the top and bottom of the underside of this desk do a much better job at supporting the computer+desk and keeping it all level. The carry handle is great for transporting the desk from room to room. The desk fits under my end table when I’m not using it. I predict I’ll have this one for a long time.
