We have made almond milk, iced cold coffee, and cold brew tea in the jar. I think the cold brew tea was our favorite!With this set, you receive a lovely large mesh bag that you can fill with ingredients and then put into the jar. We scooped a few scoops of our loose leafs tea into the bag, added the bag to the jar, added water to the jar, and then placed the jar into the fridge. The next morning, I was greeted with amazing cold brew tea that I could take with me on my commute to work. Easy as can be. Later that day, we added more water, and re-used the same leaves for more cold brew tea. We did this for a few days and loved the results we were getting.So many great uses and the set comes with a lovely recipe guide that will allow you to create wonderful almond milk. To make cold brew coffee, you would do the same as we did with the loose leaf tea.Can't go wrong with this set! I currently make my own almond milk with a nut bag that I had and random directions off the internet. What's neat about this kit is that it comes with a perfect sized jar to keep the milk in and a pamphlet with lots of tips and hints that I never even thought of. There are directions on how to make almond milk and honestly, making almond milk is super easy. Easier than what I had expected so for any newbies, don't be nervous. I had soaked the almonds as directed. Rinsed and added recommended water and put it in a blender. It whipped up a creamy white milk. Drain it through the bag over a big bowl and transfer to the jar. Very easy.TIP: Save the almond meal that is left after squeezing every ounce of milk into the container. The almond meal can be used to make almond cookies (look it up on the internet) or for a body/facial scrub. Almonds are too expensive to throw away the pulp.The bag is nice and quality made, strong and easy to clean When cleaning, flip it inside out as well to clean it thoroughly. Definitely big enough to hold everything needed to make the milk. It's BPA free! Overall, love this starter kit, it has everything you need except for the almonds and water. Highly recommend.
