In 1454 during the King's wedding with Jeanne De Laval, there was a problem: the Bride-to-be never smiled. The confectioner created a new sweet, he decided to combine some of Provence's most spectacular delights to craft it. When the Queen tried these delights, she was amazed by its incredible taste, and smiled! When she asked what it was, the pastry chef responded "Di Calin Soun" which in provencal language means "Little hugs".
