My first one lasted just under a year, after conversation with support I was sent a replacement. It lasted a little over 3 years then failed. The first thing they ask is that you update firmware wth the app. I already had that but it was non functional. Went to the App Store to check for update. Nope, it is totally gone. The new keyboard board connected right up with Bluetooth and seems to be working fine, but no way to know how old the inventory is that is currently being liquidated at a very good price. Or, how long it may last. Its mighty good for under 40 bucks. Never found anything close to it over the years. Also really glad I didn’t go with the cheaper sub $100 models. I absolutely need a trackpad and the cheaper models reviews were heart breaking. The Magic gets good reviews but it is an Apple product and once you are in the orchard you tend to stay there. I would know. But I ignored all that journalism and objectivity and focused on the Apple brand. But luckily I snapped out of it. I needed something that I could use on my lap, the Magic Keyboard sucks for that, the Brydge is fanastic. I needed a top notch trackpad, this one is awesome. What I didn’t know is Brydge brought all the familiar MacOS shortcuts over. So all the keyboard shortcuts I am used to, work perfectly. I am at the top of the learning curve, that’s sweet. The keys have a nice travel, great feel and an oh-so-satisfying click. The backlight is great. Very bright and the top row of keys are all function keys specifically tailored to iPadOS. So nice. I got used to the keyboard so fast I forgot my iPad Pro was an iPad and got surprised when I touched the screen and stuff happened! I have to be 100% mobile so having this keyboard and a cellular enabled iPad Pro is perfect for me. But a better question is will you like it. I sent mine back. Dumbest design ever to me and horribly overpriced. Zero protection for the back of the iPad. Attaches by a pressure fit of jamming the edge of the iPad into two padded brackets. Just the design says “let’s see how long this will last-duh”. PITA to remove the iPad if you want to use it without the keyboard routinely. Concept was good, build quality is great, design to me simply isn’t functional at the price they want. I found a much lower priced one with full protection and even a clip for the stylus included. Quality may not be quite as good but I can buy 4 of them for the price of the Brydge. Plus way easier to pop the iPad in & out when needed. Functionally it’s every bit as good and a bit easier to set up. **Q: Are the rubber pieces covered under warranty? Mine started tearing at 2 weeks and are gone now.** A: You will need to ask the manufacturer this question. I suspect so if it has only been two weeks. **Q: Does this come in silver? I see many complaints about this one but I have another sim and love it esp for the 180 rotation** A: I don’t think so. Zagg has colors and I do love the Zagg keyboard. I have had a white one and it got dirty so fast and stayed dirty because of the texture. Would not recommend. I prefer Brydge over Zagg and I’ve had 6 in total. **Q: I know it is designed for 11" ipad pro. any chance the ipad pro 10.5" would fit and work?** A: The issue will be the thickness of the device that the hinge openings, with their rubber padding, can accommodate. When it's closed against the keyboard, it may not look exactly correct - so that's cosmetic. The bluetooth keyboard almost certainly will work - not sure about the trackpad. Happy Happy Joy Joy ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The quality is excellent, but... *by A***N on October 3, 2020* ...there are three issues that are unsettling: First, it's recommended to remove an existing screen protector to avoid undue pressure on the screen where the hinges clamp onto the iPad. It makes sense to do so, but now I have to give up a texture that I liked--the screen protector I had allowed my fingers to easily glide on the tablets surface; the "natural" texture isn't anywhere near as slick so I'm not thrilled with the au naturale texture. Second, the iPad sits so low in the hinges that I'm unable to dismiss a screen/close an app by swiping up from the bottom--I have to pull the iPad up a minimum of 4mm to be able to do so, but that also means the top of the iPad now juts out 4mm over the edge of the keyboard; the overhang is surely to incur damage somehow. Third, there are two, rubber "bumpers" on the keyboard that prevent the iPad's screen from becoming damaged by it resting on keyboard's keys. In my experience with MacBooks, those nubs eventually scratch the screen from repeated opening and closing, so I wonder that now that I'm sans screen protector, whether that'll happen, too. I had a Logitech Slim Portfolio cover before and it hadn't gone wonky with its E and L keys frequently flaking out I would've kept it; it's because of Logitech's poor customer service in resolving the matter that I decided to try the Brydge keyboard. However, I'm having second thoughts about keeping it, especially with the too-low-bezel issue.
