I throw them in the washing machine And then hang them to dry. They are a little bit stiff when dried, but soften right back up when you wet them. I use a different one each day so as to minimize bacteria buildup. Yes are a perfect cross between handiwipes and a sponge. I definitely recommend this product. **Q: Why was the Chinese product delivered?** A: Yes you can wash and dry them. They come out good as new. **Q: Does the sponge work on stainless steel?** A: We do not have stainless steel appliances. They work great on everything. You will love them. We buy large packs and give them to family and friends. Once they try them, they buy them. **Q: Do they really NOT dry into a brittle hard piece?** A: They do dry hard, but not brittle. Once they are just little wet they soften. Also, they really do work great.
