Why would I spend that much to rent a crappy dingy unreliable seat for 5 days when I can just spend $22 to bring along our own car seat? It may be cumbersome since it's an extra bulky bag to bring thru TSA check (it doesn't fit thru xray) - but it is no charge on any major airline and you can just gate check at your terminal. When it came, it was nice and big and seemed to be really good strong material. But when I sent it through it's first luggage check at the airport, it came out with rips and slices. Because I didn't think it's make it back through one more tumble, on the return flight I checked it in at the gate where it avoids all the tumble from the conveyor belts. Disappointed because I was hoping this was something that would last a long time. I think I can use it a few more times as long as I do gate check again.
