Review: very effective - This is the best for cleaning copper pots
Review: Life saver! - We have 3 copper top tables that have never been polished. One fine eve, we decided to try removing the stains and oxidation and used the salt and lemon juice method as well as salt and white vinegar method. I have to say that the salt and lemon juice is very good as it lifts a lot of tarnish off but not evenly. Then my husband brought out a polishing cream (MAAS) which only left a black streaky mess. I couldn't wait to try Copperbrill and upon first application, the tarnish came off effortlessly! Now, you have to understand we're removing 9 years' worth of tarnish from these table tops so a lot of elbow grease went into it but less that if we had stuck with the natural method. I think the lemon juice and salt is for small surfaces or lighter tarnish. With Copperbrill, the tarnish came off immediately. We did have to go over it about 3 times per table but they all turned out incredible! One tip I would say is the moment you've wiped off the polish with a wet rag (rinse and repeat a few times), you must dry immediately with a dry soft cloth otherwise the wet streaks will stain the table nearly immediately! I can still see little bit of streaking but I think that's really another layer of tarnish and we can work on that in a couple of months' time - that's just me being OCD and perfectionist. Only dink about the product is the cost, costs $20 per tub more expensive than Wright's. And we finished the entire tub polishing 1 coffee table, 1 side table, and 1 credenza. I think I would adivse that if you have very heavily tarnished copper to use the salt and lemon juice method to initially lift the tarnish and then the polish for best results.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this product be used on Brass?**
A: Most certainly, although the with age, the brass patina is most desirable. I located a vintage brass cigarette dish and started to bring it back to life, to say. I do prefer for brass items, "old reliable" NOXON. Copperbrill by Mauviel is highly acceptable, but the comparison is just not the same! I would suggest the NOXON for brass, but Mauviel is acceptable. I do hope I was of some help?

**Q: I have a new virgin copper sink. We have hard water and the sides have dark water spots that I can't get off. Will this stuff work on raw copper ?**
A: Copperbrill is designed to remove oxidation from copper. It will not help with mineral deposits burnt food deposits or other stains. Try the commercial product "CLR".

**Q: I have a jar of wrights copper cleaner which is nearly finished. what are the benefits of copperbrill versus wrights?**
A: I have used both. I have 39 pieces of copper that I use. I much prefer Wrights. It keeps the shine longer. I replaced all my Copperbrill with Wrights. I tried Wrights in the first place because I did a Zoom seminar with Martha Stewart and she recommended it to me personally. Great product.

**Q: Is this like Wenol-requires elbow grease, buffs metals to a mirror finish and not just remove tarnish like Wrights or Twinkle?**
A: Never used Wrights, Twinkle, or Wenol, so I can't compare. But I will say it's easy to use and brings copper to a soft luster without a lot of work. A little goes a long way.
