The only real downside would be to desertcart, I bought the Lightning deal and it went out of stock right away. After about a two and a half weeks of waiting, they eventually shipped. This was pretty frustrating since I am accustomed to desertcart's Prime 2-day shipping. I would have been fine with it but it arrived a few days after Valentine's Day, thus putting me in the dog house until they arrived. The packaging was very basic manilla envelope with some basic bubble padding. The box was nothing to write home about, but it's what's inside the truly counts. My girlfriend doesn't like overly flashy jewelry, but this set of earrings are the largest she probably would be willing to wear (she didn't second guess that they were too big though). They are extremely shinny and sparkle when the light hits them. As for durability, she's been wearing them non-stop for 2 months including many workouts (running and bicycling), showers and sleep and they continue to shine.
