The posts have 19 one inch holes that start 13 1/8 inch OC off the floor and are 3 inch OC apart. Every third hole has a small U shaped notch to make it easier to identify the same level between posts. There are 2 solid steel safety pins 1 inch in diameter which are 32 1/4 inches long thereby providing the 24 inch length between posts and 3 1/4 inch bar catch on the outside of the rack.. Is there an issue doing low bar squats inside the rack (i.e. too little room inside rack?)** A: No issues doing squats or deadlifts inside the rack. But for cleans and military press probably work outside if your taller than 5'8. Inside height height only 6 feet 7 inches. **Q: What is the gauge of the 2x2 tube used to manufacture this power rack? Are the safety bars solid or hollow?** A: I measured the thickness of the posts. It is 0.086 inches thick which means it is 14 gauge steel. The safety bars are 1 inch solid steel.
