Why ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene: ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene has an extremely long chain of molecules, which allows for a strong bond. Polyethylene is a dependable polymer which outlasts steel, hardwoods and other plastics in wear applications. Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene is used extensively in the mining industry to protect steel in wear applications, for example, slurry piping. Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene is very low friction, giving it a slick, non-stick quality. It allows clean, uninterrupted operation/flow in dry, wet and freezing conditions. Materials pass over without adhesion and buildup. Barnacles wipe away from ultra-high-molecular-weight. SSS off-roads offers a cup washer to recede the bolt heads to minimize damage and keep the skip free of snags. Because you want the best protection available- skid up: what is Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight: ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene, Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight) is a subset of the thermoplastic polyethylene. Also known as high-modulus polyethylene, (HMPE), or high-performance polyethylene (HPPE), it has extremely long chains, with a molecular mass usually between 2 and 6 million units. The longer chain serves to transfer load more effectively to the polymer backbone by strengthening intermolecular interactions. Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene is odorless, tasteless, and nontoxic. Its melting point is around 130 to 136 degree Celsius (266 to 277 degree Fahrenheit),and, according to DSM, it is not advisable to use ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fibers at temperatures exceeding 80 to 100 degree Celsius (176 to 212 degree Fahrenheit) for long periods of time. It becomes brittle at temperatures below -150 degree Celsius (-240 degree Fahrenheit). ## Features - Uhmw outwears aluminum 9 to 1; UHMW is made to dampen road noise and gravel pinging; Made from recycled material; CNC cut with recessed hardware and overlap joints - All bends are pre-scored to ensure a clean fit; Skid plates are engineered to add structure to the machine and not to benefit the shipping of the skid plate - Uses all stock mounting holes for the main body of the skid plate; overlap joints are designed to minimize hang-ups or tearing - All hardware is fully recessed ensuring that you will not snap off bolts or catch on objects - Dimensions: 59"x 28"x 1.5uses OEM washers for protection; Made in USA ## Images ![SSS Off Road Honda Pioneer 700-4 UHMW Skid Plate underbody - Image 1](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31laLVLL6oL.jpg) ![SSS Off Road Honda Pioneer 700-4 UHMW Skid Plate underbody - Image 2](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51fYE7X30bL.jpg) ![SSS Off Road Honda Pioneer 700-4 UHMW Skid Plate underbody - Image 3](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41mU8tRvT%2BL.jpg) ![SSS Off Road Honda Pioneer 700-4 UHMW Skid Plate underbody - Image 4](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51TrbOrwJsL.jpg) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/22095495-sss-off-road-honda-pioneer-700-4-uhmw-skid-plate](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/22095495-sss-off-road-honda-pioneer-700-4-uhmw-skid-plate) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
