Review: Great monitor for a low price! - This is a no-frills 1080p monitor that is perfect for older computers and video game consoles with HDMI output, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, etc. The picture is outstanding and has what appears to be Viewsonic-style menus, it has two HDMI input ports and one VGA input port with an audio input jack (1/8"). This monitor has no output for the audio except for the built-in speakers... you'll need an extra device that splits the audio from the HDMI if you plan on having headphones, etc hooked up. The appearance of the monitor is different from the stock picture shown on this listing. (edit: stock picture has now been updated!) It's got a white-painted metal neck with a glass base that has rubber footings. The bezel is white with black striped trim (known as "Touch of Color" (ToC) in Samsung world. Really sharp looking! This has a Dynamic Contrast Ratio function (auto-dimming during dark images/scenes) as well as presets for viewing Text, Movies, Video Games, Standard.

**Q: I am looking for wide screen for insurance office to avoid dual monitors will this one do that job?**
A: Yes, I open multiple windows and find this monitor to be capable of displaying two complete 8.5 x 11 documents and then some.

**Q: i have tight tolerances in a special application, can someone tell me the depth without the base?**
A: the screen itself is 3/16" thick give or take a 1/16th, then there is an electronics box on the back which is where the mount bracket for wall mount goes.  That adds another 1.375" 1.5" is a good approximation.  If you are trying to mount this flush to the wall, you would need a cut out which is 12" wide by 9" tall.  Bear in mind that the ports are located on the side walls of this box.  So you would need to add around 2" on the left for the power cord and 2" on the right for the monitor cord.I have mine on a wall mount swing out bracket on my desk as a computer monitor.  I can almost open three 8 x 11 documents side x side x side.

Love this - got one at work, and then HAD to have one for home. Easy to assemble, beautiful clear bright color, very clear text, no distortion. Now everyone at work wants one. Great price, though I'm not familiar with this brand. I bought this in June and wanted to use it for a while before reviewing it. It is a great monitor at a terrific price. I do a lot of work with InDesign and PhotoShop and having a large screen has taken a lot of the strain off my eyes. It has worked like a charm. We now have three of them in our office and we are all very happy with them.
