The FCC controls the signal strength of every manufacturers FM transmitters (Part 15 devices), and that is not something FM transmitting device-makers can alter. My suggestion: remove your review or grade it up if you mistakenly reviewed the device for this reason.2) Cons: If I had any cons, they would be that the device is plastic, and that it has a moderate to large footprint, both of which make the device somewhat fragile and subject to breakage with poor care. But, what device isn't plastic, right? That being said, it is a considerably thick amount of plastic, so unless you drop it out of your car on the pavement and step on it, I can't imagine how else you would break this device. I would recommend leaving it in a less prevalent 12V jack in your vehicle, though, since it does stick out a good 2 inches. While 2 inches sounds like nothing, there are some devices on the market that are flush, and since this one is not, if you catch it getting in or out of your vehicle due to jack placement, something is going to break - most likely the 12V outlet or the usb jack insert or the aux cable would go first...NOT the TuneLink. :-) The footprint of the device is mostly due to the extensive technology, so I'm not sure you can make the device any smaller and still have all of the following "pro's" to list:3) Pros: There are lots of pro's, so let's get started. This is by far the longest lasting bluetooth-to-stereo device I have ever owned, as it has been in use and functioning DAILY for two years. As a professional who drives 20 minutes to work and back an average of 1.3 times EVERY DAY (not including cross-country trips) and EVERY TIME I get in my car, this device powers up and plays my phone content, I estimate that I use this device almost 400 hours a year! I can safely say this a very well-constructed bluetooth transmitter. I use the aux 1/8" audio jack to connect, so the quality is, of course, flawless for car stereo standards. As an audiophile and former professional sound consultant and installation engineer, I would add that the TuneLink Auto goes the next step with its "share" feature, and even better its hum reduction. There is very little electrical bleed from your car's electrical system on this device, and that is a feat in and of itself. There appears to be a 2 amp charger, which allows it to charge some tablets, as well, as I have charged an iPad and a Samsung 7" from it. The TuneLink Auto for Android is more than ample as a portable device designed to connect rapidly, charge your device, and instantly play music through your car stereo. The software is simple and does what it is supposed to do without distracting "extras" that drivers shouldn't be using anyway. Even better, during a recent phone rebuild, I used the TuneLink WITHOUT the app! So, the device is of sound technical construction, as well, since it supports industry standard DLNA playback right out of the box. (I think that is incredible, by the way.) Last, but not least, the Android charge feature is flawless...it charges quickly, just as the Android platform is designed to charge, and uses a fluid trickle charge if you leave it plugged in, protecting your battery and keeping the device at 100% for those long trips. (of which, by the way, I am familiar, traveling halfway across the country - Kansas City to Atlanta/Savannah - 3 to 4 times a year.) Sorry for the long review, but this device is worth getting the word out! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ New Potato Technologies TuneLink for Android *by C***A on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on June 27, 2013* 6/27/2013I purchased this adapter on March 12, 2013, here on Amazon. I really like this Bluetooth adapter for my car. The sound quality is great. Syncs easily. I use it for playing music only because my car has it's own bluetooth function for phone calls. When incoming calls come in, it pauses music, I answer the call, and when the call is done, the music resumes automatically. I have no cables hanging around any where because this adapter fits nicely, hidden, in my center console. It does exactly what I want it to. Until....Around the middle of May, it started to cut off on me after about 15 mins of music playing. The bluetooth connection for the device would just disconnect but the bluetooth for my car is still connected. I thought maybe it was just a fluke or something, so I unplugged it and plugged it back into the cigarette lighter/socket to reset it and it worked. Then it started doing this almost once every few days, then once every other day, and now it's like all the time. I don't know why. So finally, I gave up and I've contacted New Potato via email today to see what the solution is. Hopefully I'll get a response soon and get this working again.Overall, up until now, It was a great adapter. I used it everyday and I really enjoy it. This will get a 5 star once the company fixes it or replaces it. I've read other reviews and a few others had the same problem. Maybe this is a reliability issue? I've had it less than 3 months before it started acting up.Hope this helps.Update: 8/16/2013So I emailed New Potato (as stated above) and they responded quickly. I was contacted by Amy and she was very helpful and processed my RMA immediately (only setback is that I had to pay for shipping it back).I finally got around to sending the device back last week (a little over a month later and they still honored my RMA) and received a new replacement yesterday. The process was quick and painless. According to tracking, they received my return on Monday and I got a replacement yesterday (Thursday). So far, it works great as it did before. The replacement is actually better than the previous since it is compatible for both Android and Iphone, where as the previous one was the Android version, so it was compatible with Android only. I am very happy with the product so far and very happy with how the company responded to the problem.FYI - I asked them what is the warranty on the replacement device?Amy responded with:"Warranty replacements are good for 90 days, but you have a one-year warranty from the purchase date on your TuneLink.
