They have a tiny bit of looseness to the fit but only enough to spin around on the stick while you aren't playing, when in use they don't seem to move or slip. I also lifted the controller up just by the grips and they did not pop off. The second controller was a gift. One of the joysticks had some drift issues. I used electrical contact spray and it was still drifting wildly and so I did some more contact spray and it had been sitting on the shelf a long time so with all those grains of salt I cannot claim it fixed/wildly improved the drift; however, while playtesting today there was only a tiny bit of drift and the longer I played the issue did not worsen. Finally, new controller in the back is brand new and has bluetooth which I plan on using with my computer as well and as I said that was for protection but immediately I noticed a difference in comfort, even with the regular grip sometimes the sticks dig into my thumbs and I don't think that will be an issue any longer. Definitely recommend for the price and the capability to set up at least two controllers with your ideal configuration. Also I think these would be the ideal fit for anyone missing their controller grips (something I definitely review hunted about a long time ago but sort of gave up on due to conflicting reviews, once again these are a little loose but not in a way where they will easily pop off from what I have experienced so far). I’m looking for a replacement cover, not something to go on top.** A: Yes these are meant to go over the original thumb stick grips. **Q: how tall are the longer extenders ?** A: Not exactly sure how tall they are but I can’t play without them. I brought all the cheap ones on Amazon and they never were as good as these. Nothing on amazon are as good as these for any system. The grip, fit, height options are simply the best on Amazon. Never looked anywhere else. I have them for Xbox and switch. **Q: Do these for a Nintendo switch?** A: Sort of. No, these don't fit the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons. However, yes, these "Xbox" thumb grips do fit the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. **Q: Can it fit still if my original silicone grips are gone?** A: Mep gave you some poor advice as the answer isn't yes, it's more no to maybe. First off, the original Playstation thumb-sticks are hard rubber and not silicone. If the original thumbstick is worn out or just the metal base material is left, then no this is not a replacement, as it will shift and spin. That being said, if you take a drop of Vibra-TITE VC-3, it can affix this after market grip to the worn out base and you can call it a day. VC-3 doesn't fully cure nor fully set, it holds well and can be removable. I also use VC-3 to affix extended R2 and L2 trigger extenders. you can find single use packets of VC-3 for about a dollar. Ever since around 2019 or so, Microsoft has used materials which discolor quickly even with clean hands. I have been using these Skull & Co caps for all my controllers to protect their colors. I do wish some of the colors were more available, as my Forza controller remains with other caps as a result of not being able to get a pink and blue set. That being said, the installation can be a little bit difficult, but once you get the feeling for it, it is not a bad process. Just make sure to stretch it over the cap completely. I use these on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch Pro Controller analog sticks so broad compatibility is great. I have yet to need to replace a set as they are quite durable and they do not leave the melting / tacky feeling some other brands do when they break down. The grip on my thumbs is great and helps to keep control even during intense sessions.
