These are Bentgo brand and not exactly like the bento lunch boxes I’m familiar with from Japan. They are sturdier and insulated. They hold small portions and are pretty compact though perhaps too big for storing within another lunch box. It does add a little extra weight to the lunchbox, but not significantly more than slim ice blocks would.The size of the food sections is bigger than the ones in a lunch box without the chill pack. - And I find these slightly larger sections make for a better serving size.The lid on the chill-pack lunch box opens straight up, but does NOT open all the way to lay flat. It’s not a major problem, but it is clearly easier to pack the non-chill-pack boxes which open flat.All three of my kids have one of each type of lunch box.
