Only difficulty was the part connecting across the 2 arms. Fit it early and don’t tighten the screws until all parts in place.

The only difficulty with assembly is with aligning the holes and getting the screw to bite. Annoying rather than difficult. I didn't find the instructions confusing. Well packaged and nicely made, it's a great addition to my bedroom.
