First of all, I like the NOW brand, and it's usually reasonably priced. I've been taking this particular NOW 8 Billion Acidophilus and Bifidus for years, and found that it is perfect for me. My healthcare advisor told me that if you take a probiotic with too many strains of bacteria, many of the strains don't survive in your gut, and the probiotic bacteria strains also compete against each other in your GI system, so you don't know which strains are surviving and actually helping you.
