Yes I can get it in there, warping the cradle and having to turn the Nexus on every time as the cradle hits the power button no matter how you try to shoehorn it. Beyond that there seems to be no way to interact with the phone once in the device. It seems you are to line up a virtual pointer and tap the screen to select the action. No way to tap the screen or any button. I suppose the included remote would serve that purpose, if it would pair with the Nexus. No amount of effort would make that happen. Nowhere in the documentation is the QR code required to set up the Google Cardboard app either. Using the QR in Amazon's pictures did work and recognized the unit, but that should have been on the box or in the manual. The unit seems well built, so I am going to play with it with an iPhone before deciding if I keep it. I bought for the Nexus though, believing the explicit indication it would fit.
