Once you set it up you're good to go! My partner and I ordered this as we wanted to recycle old wine bottles and such into functional glasses. I've only tried one bottle so far but it went well. My only suggestion to anyone trying this out is that before you decide where to cut the bottle try and put the bands on first and make sure they done pop off (I went quite high up towards the neck of the bottle for the first cut and we had to celotape the top most band down as it kept sliding up). Only thing that brings this down a star is the fiddlyness of setting it up - but it really isn't the end of the world. 4/5 would recommend to beginners! Time will tell how long it will last, but I am an occasional glass cutter, so I expect it will last me a while. A lot easier to use than the bulky infernal slider style cutter in my view. Oil tank is a brilliant idea for self lubrication of the wheel. Unfortunately, the specialised oil did not come with the cutter, so had to order that seperately.
