I did alter these masks for my comfort since i have to wear one at work. i cut out the layer covering the valve and now i can breath so much better. They are comfortable and adjust easily and i have washed them multiple times in the washer and they have held up great. I made alterations because i am not high risk and do daily symptom checks, and i have a hard time breathing in regular masks. Review: If I must, it'll be these masks I wear - I despise wearing a mask. For me wearing a mask makes it very difficult to breath and I get very hot which leads me to feeling ill. This mask is the most comfortable I've tried. I can breath easier, even with the included carbon filter. And it is not as hot. My glasses still fog up but there's no getting around that and the less I see the less I buy when I'm in the store....lol! In my opinion these masks are a great value as they come a good number of the filter inserts. The filter do their job nicely, and the whole mask is washable...I preferred hand-washing vs. sticking it in the washer/dryer. Good value.
