It's been a hot minute since I've last used proper fabric paint, but I feel like this medium works about as well as fabric paint. Long review: I saw a comment on someone's YouTube video that mentioned that this product exists and tends to be cheaper to use than getting fabric paint. I wanted another way to use my acrylic paint, so I grabbed a bottle. I liked how no heat setting was required, so I went to work. In hindsight, I should've used an old egg carton to mix the paint as opposed to the old cheese plate since the medium is very runny. That made it harder to gauge how much medium I needed. Still, I was impressed that the paint's color was never compromised even when I thought I added way too much medium. I was afraid of cracking, so I only did one coat on the bag with stripes. The other two items were just me offloading paint, but it did give me a chance to see if even light amounts of paint would survive the wash. The striped bag does look a bit faded (but that's a happy accident; I love it), so I might experiment with two coats of paint on another project. I like how the shirt and smaller tote bag came out, too. One thing I will say is this product may be too expensive if you plan on painting quite a bit. These three pieces used around two thirds of the bottle. I won't know if the price if worth it until I try another brand. I'll update this review when I do. From what I hear you can use it to thin just about any acrylic-based paint. However, not sure how the polyurethane in the primer would react. I think a good test would be to mix it up and see. Start with the primer in a mixing cup (couple of drops), then add the airbrush medium a drop at a time (mixing each time and checking consistency, clumping, etc). If you get a good mix without clumps and about the consistency of low-fat milk, you should be able to apply through an airbrush. I would recommend testing on a test plate to see how it adheres before using it on your finish piece! Good Luck. **Q: *For those who used both products*, please: Is this different different from pouring effect medium?** A: The "Pouring effect medium" has more control, but the flow aid is mainly used for completely liquefying the paint, while keeping consistent color I have used this with airbrush art, and mixing effects with other Liquitex/other brand acrylic mediums. On a more casual, non-air-brush point of view: This can totally thin paint, but there is other stuff out there, that will suit your needs. BONUS** This works wonders if you 1. need a shorter drying time OR 2. Have lesser quality acrylic in old tubes and want to turn out well. **Q: I have createx airbrush paint for nail art. The problem is it air comes out but no paint. Ive cleaned the needle still no paint spray.** A: The number of reasons why your air brush is not working is huge.
