I've been in touch via the Amazon messaging system so that we can establish the cause of the problem and then make things right for you. I suspect that the refill tips have dried out a little during air-shipping. If you dip the tip into water and then briefly scribble, this should bring the refill to life. But please come back to me via the Amazon system and we can make sure that we can resolve any issues you have.

**Q: Will a Hauser 777 refill fit in this pen?**
A: The dimensions seem to match the Schmidt 888 / 5888 so I think it will work. Without testing it first I can't guarantee it. Please let us know if it does!
