Everything is smushed into a tiny box that I was unable to fit the old parts into afterwards, but the buttons all have film to prevent scratching the surface and the knob and stick are wrapped separately. No bent pins or anything. I don't have enough experience with Sanwa parts to know if these are fakes, but if they are then they are extremely good quality. Sanwa embossed in all the correct places and consistent feel to all the springs and microswitches. Significantly better than the cheapo clones Mad Catz put in the SE stick. I did have an issue with one direction not working at first, but on closer inspection of the old stick it seems the pins were longer and connector wasn't making tight contact on that one. I squished the crimp with a knife and everything was hunky-dory afterwards. The stick comes with a better quality cable and connector, but the end that goes into the board would need soldering or crimping into a new connector, so I just stuck with the crappy Mad Catz one until I get around to upgrading the board. The product description implies that the stick can be switched between 4 and 8 way, but unless I'm missing something it just means you have the option to put an 8-way gate on there but it is not included.
