It does say it's appropriate for watercolor, colored pencil, pastels.... & the list goes on. I bought it to use with colored pencils (which I haven't yet done) because it's a pure white paper & I read where it's one of the best papers for colored pencil. When I use it for that, I'll come back & revise my review. I do like the paper. It's smooth & easy to sketch & draw on. It wasn't too expensive for a quality product, so I consider it a good buy & would probably buy it again. I mainly do pencil drawing so I don't know how well it holds up to paint, watercolor, etc., but for my needs it is exceptional. It does have texture to it, but I noticed the back is a bit smoother which I prefer.
