Plugged it into a 3.0 port and it's running at 1680x1050 resolution. My Dell 7040 only has 3 outputs and I needed a 4th for day trading. This $22 item did the trick. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great little device *by T***K on October 20, 2020* I got the device and was pretty impressed with the feel and durability of it. I plugged it into my monitor through HDMI (obviously), plugged it into my laptop and nothing... Windows didn't see it. I was disheartened to say the least. I unplugged it and back in, nothing. So I figured I was going to need a driver, I was hoping Windows would've taken care of that for me.I found the manufacturer website and then found the driver. Installed and boom! My external monitor lit up and windows asked how I wanted my desktop arranged. My spirits rose again. Now I have had zero issues with it. I'm super happy with my purchase and highly recommend it! ### ⭐ Apparently has problems with specific graphics drivers *by R***B on January 28, 2021* I have a Dell 2 in 1 Tablet PC that I use with several USB C docks at my office, home office, and clinic. Most of these locations have 3 monitors, and I have found USB C hubs that will drive 2 monitors; but I have never found a USB C hub that drives 3 monitors at the same time. Therefore, I use a device like this with USB A plug to drive the third monitor. I have 2 other such USB to HDMI devices, and they worked out of the box without issue. They do not seem to be available right now, so I choose this device, and I tried plugging it into the hub, the USB a on the computer, etc and in every case I got an "Incompatible with graphics driver" message. I had to return the unit, something I never have to do with the other devices I have used that are identical in function.
