I used it on a vacuum pump to control when the pump shuts off. This was used in a braking system on a Corvette that had lost all of its engine vacuum due to an upgraded cam shaft. The new engine had a huge amount of overlap on the cam, so the motor makes very little vacuum for the vacuum assisted brakes.The only issue I had was that I was unable to adjust it to shut off the pump at a vacuum any higher than 17 inches. It is advertised to go all the way to 22 inches. The system works well enough now and I can lock up the wheels, so I'm ok with it.....would have given 5 stars if I could have adjusted to closer to 20 inches vacuum. It's very easy to adjust.....I put a vacuum gauge on it with a tee, then simply sucked on the open end until I could hear the thing make a "click", while looking at the gauge. Turn the allen wrench to adjust when the switch clicks at the vacuum you want. Very easy. I installed it after adjusting it and it works fine. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 700r4 vacuum switch *by D***C on Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2017* It was advertised as being pre set to 13inHg vacuum. Mine was not according to my vacuum pump. And rechecked tee connected in with another vacuum gauge. Anyhow, not a big problem. I just advise checking yours before use. My biggest complaints are that there was no mounting brackets or hardware. And the switch was entirely too sensitive during use. I was using it for lockup on an 82 Chevy that had a 700r4. I fabricated up a basic aluminum mounting bracket. And chased down 3-48 button head screws and nuts to utilize the existing 4 holes through the switch body. As for the sensitivity i tried several vacuum bleeds. What I did was take plastic nipple caps that i bought through McMaster Carr and drilled tiny holes in them. I inserted them in the vacuum line between the manifold vacuum port and the switch. Closer to the manifold source. .029" seemed to work the best to damped the in and out shuttle switching. Driveability improved alot for this application. Making the bracket and finding bolts took longer than the rest. Hope they improve that. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Vacuum Switch *by W***T on Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2017* The switch works great once I figured how to get it to work. There is a diagram showing the electrical wire connections, but the diagram doesn't show where the vacuum hose connects.
