I found this welding hood great for the price. I do get everything I can out of a tool I purchase so I tend to wear out a lot of my clothes, gloves, shoes/boots and tools. This hood was purchased at the beginning of February and am planning on getting a new welding hood very soon. (Better quality) I do love the fact you just lift up and you can grind, cut, measure etc. Problems occured during the 3rd or 4th month like replacing the clear lenses which you will have to order and most likely cut to size or the head gear does not tighten or keep the hood from falling. (Tighteners on the sides) It is not as light as another hood without the flip up component and you do feel relieved when you take the hood off but you get used to the weight. It is fairly comfortable. Definitely worth the money but don't expect it to last years. All though I'm sure there have been some defects in these hoods here and there, that the nature of large scale manufacturing.
