So glad I finally found these. I will say that the "compression" layer doesn't do much compressing unless you already have tree trunk legs. The inner pocket works well for an iPhone 13/14, it's also not super tight so I wouldn't trust it on a rollercoaster or anything crazy but definitely good for the gym and much more secure than the main pockets.Just as everyone else has said, the sizes run extremely small. I have a small waist and so usually have to buy small shorts so that they won't be falling down.
