My son-in-law works at home and a loud radio is not desirable. I use a good set of headphones or earbuds and this radio does a fine job of pulling FM stations in and the sound is really good. So, spend your money on a good headphone or earbuds, and this good low-priced rado, and you will be satisfied. It fits easily in a pocket and an external antenna is attached to the loop that goes around the wrist. I didn't want the loop since my radio goes in a pocket.
