Bit worried about what you say about "other areas" .... holes in brickwork can be filled but holes in say woodwork coming through an outside door or fence I would suggest you call the local council rat catcher to bait the area because if you fill them they will eat their way through in another area. If you choose to bait the area make sure all holes coming into the property are blocked with say a rag soaked in some sort of creosote or smelly fence treater because you don't want a dead "thing" decomposing under the floor boards !! its not nice while it lasts.
