It is very sturdy and holds plenty of seed, which I was looking for cause I feed alot of birds. The only improvment I found that could be made is to close the gap between where the birds perch and the seed tray. Alot of seed falls out in this open area. The old feeder was a "brand-x". It always leaked, food was often moldy....This new Stovall feeder is awesome. It is well constructed, doesn't leak (so far) and the birds love it. The roof has a nice over-hang, enough to keep the food dry, but not so much that it scares the birds. There is an inverted V structure along the inside base of the feeder, so that the feed doesn't "mound" in the center and get hard and moldy. I would buy another in a heartbeat if we had a place to hang it! Definitely a good purchase. Excellent quality. It allows for lots of birds to feed at one time but this means you'll use up a lot of bird seed which can be expensive!
