In order to save on the wick don't let the fire just burn. Light it, do what you have to and put out the fire. If you do that the wick will last a very long time **Q: when you fuel the container, how long can you store it? I mean, will the container allows the fuel to evaporate?** A: As long as the match is screwed on to the container tightly the fuel will not evaporate. The o-ring on the match seals the fuel inside. **Q: Where can I buy extra wicks and flint** A: You can use Zippo wicks and flint, and you can order packs of both from Amazon. Or you can buy them from any hardware store, maybe even Walmart. **Q: How difficult is it to remove the tip to pull out more wick?I bought several of these from a different vender and it was impossible to get the tip out** A: We have improved the product so the flint striker tip is more easy to remove and replace the wick.
