## Questions & Answers

**Q: what cone does it fire at?**
A: Cone 5-6 (2205°F-2269°F, 1207°C-1243°C)

**Q: I have cone 10 high fire clay. Will this work with that clay on higher temps?**
A: Hi One way to make this work would be to fire your pot to cone 10, then put on the glaze and fire to cone 6. If you use this glaze at cone 10 you will not get the same results as the color shows. I love this color, if you put it on thick it is a beautiful blue, thin it is brown. You could try a test strip at cone 10 and see what happens. Or call Amaco and ask them. Hope this helps. I have used cone 06 glaze on my cone 6 clay by first firing to cone 6, putting on the glaze and firing to cone 06 it works and the glaze and clay are both happy.

**Q: I was given this glaze as a gift. My pot came out brown so do I need to apply it thicker? Does thick=blue?**
A: Yes. Get it thicker. I applied 3 heavy coats and and it was exactly like the picture. That was on the amaco clay hobby lobby sells and some white slip cast clay. Darker clay bodies have been giving me trouble getting the blue. It wasn't until I layered palladium over the top of it I saw blue on the darker clay body. I will post some pictures with my product review. Check out amacos website. They have too thick and too thin pictures there.

**Q: Why is mine this icky green color? Fired on cone 6 with both white and red clay. Tried it with different coats as well.. always the same icky result.**
A: Did you make sure it was throughly mixed? I found with up to 3 light coats I get the green but if you add more then you get the blue. More glaze the better the blue you get like in indents or crevices.

Amaco does not fail. Bought from Blick Art Materials if I remember correctly-they are my go to for glazes. Fired at cone 6 in an electric kiln, lovely flow, breaks beautifully and for my purposes benefits from three coats generously applied. Love this!
