It's definitely it's own unique, and quite good, tea, but if I had to say a tea it was closest to I think it could be like a cousin of a Bengal tea. If you haven't tried rooibos before, don't worry about it being too strong. This tea has all the spice and flavor of a regular chai and the rooibos sits nicely in the background. I can't really say what exactly the rooibos tastes like, it blends so well with the spices that it's hard to distinguish on it's own, but I'm sure it does have a flavor that's being contributed to the overall taste of the tea.
